TIP. Did you know you can power a HP50G from an external power source?
Connect your HP50G with the supplied USB cable to a PC and turn on. Your HP50G is now powered via the USB cable. Type [ON] hold [F6] release, [8] and the display should read "USB POWER WORK". This feature does NOT work with the HP49G+
TIP. Did you know the easiest way to transfer files to a HP49G+ or HP50G is by using an SD Flash Disk?
By using an SD Flash disk you eliminate the problems of connectivity problems associated with connecting your HP Calculator via cable to a PC. You use the file manager on board the calculator to copy or move files from the SD Flash disk to the directories on the calculator.
TIP. Did you know that on most of the HP Calculator models you can adjust the contrast of the LCD screen.

TIP. Save money on batteries by using rechargeable batteries where possible.
Rechargeable batteries are a great way to save money on batteries these days. Please note though that rechargeable batteries often don't give much warning when going flat therefore it's recommended to always carry a spare set at hand.
